The term “Gran Coupe” is used by BMW for four-door cars, which have a ceiling as if they were fitted, combined with the practical style of a sedan.
With large body changes, this model is 1.2 inches larger than the 8 Series Coupe, or the biggest car that BMW has produced so far. The front windshield is less sloping to create a large space for the ceiling, which has allowed more room for the front passenger’s head.
The glass panel reaches up to the back of the ceiling, giving the feeling of more space, but the carbon fiber ceiling is also available to reduce weight and increase the center of gravity.
What about the interior of 2020 BMW 8 Series Gran Coupe
The interior has been borrowed from the 8 Series Coupe, only because it has the highest level of luxury since Nappa leather for seats and side parts has been used, while the gearbox is wrapped with Swarovski crystals. The rear seats are separate, while they have the option of heating, as well as USB-C ports.
The base model comes with 335 horsepower, which enables speeds of up to 100 kilometers per hour, for 4.6 seconds. This model is also available with 523 horsepower, which can reach within 3.7 seconds, speeds from zero to 100 kilometers per hour.
Buyers of the BMW 8 Series Gran Coupe base model have to pay $84,900, while for more options, the price rises to $108,999.
