In Germany, ID.4 will be available from a starting price of 49,950 euros but goes up to 59,950 euros. All versions are limited to 27 thousand units. VW has pledged that sales will be made over the next year.
Volkswagen unveiled the interior of the SUV a few weeks ago. Although the ID.4 is slightly shorter than the Tesla Model Y with an exterior length of 4.58 meters, the VW SUV has about 6 inches more interior space. A 12-inch screen with which the multimedia system can operate is attached to the center console. It can also be operated through voice and gesture control.
The inside of the ID.4 is equipped with a light strip, “ID-Light“, which shows the effects of light when braking or turning. When the navigation system is pointing to the left, a light indicator will also illuminate to the left.
