OnePlus held a launch event for Series 7 of products, and, depending on the region, there was much to show. The most widely available device is OnePlus 7 Pro, but the company also announced a 5G phone variant for the UK. There’s also OnePlus 7, the cheapest line device.
OnePlus 7 features a design language much more similar to OnePlus 6T than OnePlus 7 Pro, but includes many of the newer improvements to older brothers.
Comes with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Mobile Platform, as well as up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.0.
It also has the same RAM Boost function for improved performance.
The device also has a 6.41-inch screen but not the refresh rate of 90Hz of 7 Pro.
Even OnePlus 7 gets the installation of the stereo speaker, just like the 7 Pro, and the camera on the back has improved significantly over 6T. It has the same 48MP sensor as OnePlus 7 Pro, as well as a secondary depth sensor for portraits. At the front, however, you get the same Waterdrop design as OnePlus 6T.
Of course, due to some compromises compared to 7 Pro, but OnePlus 7 packs some important improvements over its predecessors.
Thanks to a few cut corners compared to the Pro model, the regular version starts at around 559 euros for the 128GB storage model and 6GB of RAM.
If you want the 8GB model with 256GB of storage, it will cost you €609.
