Before puberty begins and while it’s happening, the epiphysis is completely soft. This allows for even more bone to develop and increases growth.

Once you hit puberty, this soft area will solidify, and the bones completely fuse once with no chance for future growth. Many doctors have agreed that once this occurs, it’s not possible to grow any more no matter what. Many companies that produce supplements claim to pause this process or add growth, however, there is not any medical evidence in existence that confirms any of these claims are possible.

There are lots of products on the market that contain a wide variety of ingredients that are supposed to help you get taller, and there’s no scientific or medical basis for any of the claims they make. These products are supplements for your health, and it’s important to know the FDA (Food and Drugs Administration) doesn’t confirm or regulate statements that are made by manufacturers of such health supplements. Often, individual ingredients in these supplements have not been confirmed to be safe, and the long-term impact of using them has not been tested. This is why it’s important to talk to your doctor; you need to know if taking the supplement will have the opposite effect you want, and negatively impact your health.

As time’s gone on, it’s become easier for manufacturers of growth supplements to make their claims, and it’s become easier to sell products with the internet. On the internet, you don’t know for sure if reviews and testimonials on products are legitimate, or if they were created by the manufacturer in order to sell their product. Some products also have guarantees that you’ll get your money back if you don’t get taller; don’t fall for these, either.
