Google Pixel 4 and 4 XL officially Revealed

Google Pixel 4 and 4 XL officially Revealed

Google phones are finally official. The company just unveiled Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL at the hardware event held in New York. As has probably been noticed over the last couple of weeks and months, Google not only did a handy job of keeping things secret, but often confirmed or released products/features itself.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

With the last night’s event in New York called “Made by Google ’19”, the Android manufacturer is jumping into the ring to fight out the competition.

Pixel 4 comes in three colors: white, black and an limited edition orange. Available today to order and will be sold from October 24th. Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL start at $799 and $899 respectively.

Pixel 4 XL has a 6.3-inch Quad HD display, while the Pixel 4 has a 5.7-inch 1080p. Both screens have a refresh rate of 90Hz which is automatically reduced to 60Hz under certain conditions to improve battery life.

Beyond the screen size and battery capacity, the two new Pixels offer identical hardware. They are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor with 64GB and 128GB of memory and 6GB of RAM.

At the top of the screen, Google has included a number of sensors that enable two new features: One is Face Lock – Google’s response to Apple Face ID – and the other is called “Motion Sense.” With the second Pixel 4 can be gestured without touching the phone at all. The information is processed locally on the device, says Google.

For this year’s model, the camera system has added a third telephoto lens in addition to the standard one. The telephoto lens offers 2x optical zoom. The new Pixels come shortly after Apple has managed to capture Google in camera performance with some believing that iPhone 11 offers superior photographic quality.

Even in the Android world companies like Huawei have reduced the gap with Google in the camera department. Google has added new tricks by upgrading the Night Sight mode. Live HDR+ provides real-time view of the photo you are capturing. Finally Pixel 4 has a new voice recording app combined with Google’s voice recognition technology.

Porsche unveiled the Taycan 4S this Monday, the third version of the fully electric car.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

4S will offer a more battery-powered option and is similar to the flagship model unveiled in September.

Inside the car is the same Taycan model chassis and suspension. But this version is lighter, cheaper and slower than the high-end models introduced just 7 weeks ago.

Porsche itself has confirmed that it will sell some versions of the car. In September the German manufacturer showed the first look of the Taycan Turbo S and Taycan Turbo at a base price of $185,000 and $150,000.

While the 4S is $80,000 cheaper. It comes with two 79.2 kWh battery models and is priced at $104,000 and 429 horsepower.

While the second performance model costs $110 thousand with 93.4kWh battery and 563 horsepower.

Both Taycans accelerates from 0-100km/h in 3.8 seconds. But not measured with the Turbo S which has 616 horsepower and 0-100km/h in 2.6 seconds. Porsche did not provide information on the distances the new model can make with fully battery.

Oppo Reno Ace

Oppo’s new phone, Reno Ace can be Charged at 100% for 30 Minutes

Oppo revealed the latest phone of the now-diversified Reno line. It’s about Reno Ace, another flagship of this line.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

The device is similar to the latest OnePlus 7T flagship phone. It has a Snapdragon 855 Plus processor, a 20: 9 6.5-inch 1080p 90Hz frequency display, and a camera system built around the 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor.

Reno Ace has a four monochrome sensor and comes with 12GB of RAM. But the unique feature of this phone lies neither in the cameras nor the 90Hz display but the fast charging technology.

Reno comes with a SuperVOOC 65W charger and charges the battery from 0% to 100% for 30 minutes according to Oppo. With just five minutes of charging, the battery life is increased by 2 hours, the company says. This is thanks to Oppo’s new SuperVOOC 2.0 technology, which increases the charging power to 65W and intelligently controls voltage and current to optimize battery life from 90 percent to 100 percent faster. Quick battery charging has been a staple of Oppo phones for years.

The company’s F9 smartphone, launched in 2016, had one of the fastest charging times, through technology that can charge a 2,800mAh battery from 0-100 percent in 15 minutes. But the Reno Ace has a much larger battery, with 4,000mAh capacity.

Reno Ace will debut in China for $420 for the model with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of memory and $530 for the model of 12GB of RAM and 256GB of memory.

OnePlus 7T

OnePlus 7T Comes with Android 10 and Unmatched Price Tag

In recent years OnePlus has applied a six month refresher cycle between the company products. The model in question has worked properly and has troubled the waters of many competitors trying to maintain stable sales.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

As usual the second flagship of the year is a refinement of the first. OnePlus 7T adopts the 7 Pro’s 90Hz AMOLED display accompanied by a triple camera system at the rear.

The lenses are 48 megapixels main, 2x secondary telephoto and a third 117 degree camera. The speakers include Dolby Atmos and fast charging technology promising a full charge in just one hour.

As a result this process is 25% faster than the previous Warp Charge model. But perhaps the most interesting detail is included in Android 10.

The best thing about this flagship is the price. The OnePlus 7T costs $599 and goes on sale October 18th. It’s a great price for a piece of hardware in an era where flagships exceed $1,000.

Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha

Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha is a nearly all-screen phone

Xiaomi Mi Mix line has always pushed the boundaries of smartphone screens and models. It was the original phone model that launched a borderless screen war to arrive on the Mi Mix 3 last year.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

Now that are starting to show the first phones with the “waterfall” display, Xiaomi has decided to take it to a new level with the Mi Mix Alpha model. The Alpha screen revolves around the device where it meets the camera module at the back.

The effect is a phone made up almost of the screen. The volume buttons, also part of the screen, appear on the side and react based on the pressure applied. With this phone Xiaomi claims a 180 degree screen and body ratio.

Mi Mix Alpha comes with Samsung’s 108-megapixel sensor developed in collaboration with Xiaomi. As with other high resolution cameras, the pixels are combined in 2 × 2 squares to deliver higher sensitivity to light.

There is also no need for a selfie camera as it is enough to just turn the phone on and shoot with the rear camera. The phone itself has a Snapdragon 855+ processor, 5G connectivity, 12GB of RAM, 512GB of memory and 40W of 4,050 mAh battery.

The phone goes on sale in December for $2,800.

Huawei unveiled Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro, the phones that have everything but no one will buy

Huawei unveiled Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro, the phones that have everything but no one will buy

Huawei‘s party may have been marred by US sanctions, but the company still had something to show at its Mate 30 launch event, or as we might call the Galaxy Note killer.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

Mate 30 comes in the category of 6+ inch phones for mobile enthusiasts and professionals who are always on the move and today more than ever focused on the camera leaving the qualities of a smartphone in the background.

This smartphone has decided, though not at will, to distance itself from Google apps and build a new future, a future that belongs to him alone.

The first notable features of this smartphone are the 6.53-inch screen of the Mate 30 Pro which stays on and curves towards the sides of the phone structure. Equipped with OLED technology, it is characterized by a resolution of 2,400×1176 pixels. The volume buttons are part of the phone screen and available on the side of the screen.

The standard Mate 30 has a 6.62-inch screen with a resolution of 2,340×1,080 pixels OLED which unlike the Pro model does not extend to the sides of the phone. Like Samsung‘s Edge series, the screen lying on the sides of the phone is a nightmare for those who fear accidental button presses.

In terms of battery life, the Pro has a full 4,500 mAh which lasts 9.2 hours in “heavy” use while the standard model has a 4,200 mAh battery that lasts 8.2 hour.

In the past, Huawei devices had better battery life but this disadvantage is somewhat overshadowed by new charging technologies. Mate 30 has a 40W cable and 27W wireless charging. Mate 30 gets power from the Kirin 990 5G chip built on the 7-nanometer architecture with the promise of significantly increased performance compared to the previous generation.

The company says 5G performance will outperform rivals like the Galaxy Note.

Huawei has entrusted Leica with photographic power by combining 4 rear sensors. The Pro model has two 40-megapixel cameras, an 8-megapixel Telephoto and a 3D depth-tracking camera. Looking back, the phone looks more like a Panasonic Lumix CM1.

The potential of this camera is demonstrated by super-slow motion filming. For the base model Mate 30 has a more modest configuration with a 40-megapixel camera, a 16-megapixel and an 8-megapixel camera is selected.

Huawei did not hesitate to boast of the “notch” which it considers the most sophisticated in a phone. Mate 30 Pro has a 32-megapixel selfie camera, a gesture sensor, a 3D depth camera, a light sensor and a proximity sensor.

Mate 30 has a much smaller “notch” with only a 24-megapixel camera and light and proximity sensors.

Mate 30 Series comes in four colors: green, black, silver and purple. Mate 30 Pro is IP68 resistant while the Mate 30 IP53.

As expected Huawei has partnered with Porsche Design to create a luxurious version of the phone. US sanctions on Huawei mean that the Mate 30 comes without Google apps, including the Play Store.

The company promises to invest $1 billion to attract applications to the Huawei ecosystem, while phones remain difficult to sell elsewhere except China.

In Europe the phone costs 799 euros for 8GB of RAM and 128GB of memory. Mate 30 Pro starts at 1,099 euros for 8GB of RAM and 256GB of memory. What’s more, the 5G comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of memory for 1,199 euros, while the luxury Porsche Design will cost 2,095 euros for 12GB of RAM and 512GB of memory.

Vivo Nex 3

Vivo launches Nex 3 phone with 64MP camera and a bezel-less display

Vivo‘s original NEX phones were quite innovative devices, being among the first to unveil a fingerprint sensor and a motorized selfie camera.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

Now, the company has finally unveiled their successor, the NEX 3, which is recognizable for its “waterfall” screen that runs to the edges of the phone.

The screen is a 6.89-inch 1080p AMOLED panel and goes so far to the edges that there’s no room for physical stamps

Vivo Nex 3 Display

Instead, Vivo is using something called TouchSense, which, paired with a haptic feedback system, will simulate pressing the power and volume buttons.

Another peculiarity of the phone is the set-up of triple cameras on the back, which includes a 64MP main camera, one of the first phones in the market to do so.

The other two handsets are 13 MP each, one with an ultra wide view and the other is a telephoto lens.

Additionally, the phone includes typical premium specs, including Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus processor, 8 GB of RAM, a 4,500mAh battery with fast charge. The storage is 128GB for the 4G model and 256GB for the 5G variant.

Of course, the device also includes an under-fingerprint sensor.

The new phones are now available for order in China, costing approximately $707 for the 4G model and for the 5G model approximately $806. A variant of the 5G model with 12GB of RAM will go on sale later for $877.

It is not known at this time if and when they will come to international markets.

Meet the iPhone 11, 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max: Everything You Need to Know

Meet the iPhone 11, 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max: Everything You Need to Know

On Tuesday evening Apple unveiled a new set of phones including the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

These new phones come with a new chip, new cameras and are available in different colors and sizes.

Let’s go into their details.

iPhone 11

Design

iPhone 11 has an aluminum and glass design, and Apple says it is the strongest glass ever mounted on a smartphone. The phone comes in several colors such as: white, blue, yellow, purple, black and red.

This next-gen phone has a 6.1-inch Liquid Retina display that you just have to touch to wake it up and haptic feedback.

iPhone 11
iPhone 11

Camera

Apple has clearly put a lot of energy into the iPhone 11 camera which consists of two sensors: a 12-megapixel, 26mm f/1.8 and a super wide-angle 12-megapixel f/2.4.

Thanks to the wide-angle camera, users can see what’s beyond the standard camera frame.

On the software side Apple has introduced a new image processor that processes over 1 trillion operations for each photo. The company talked about a technique called “semantic rendering” that changes the brightness of photos based on the subjects it focuses on.

This helps to isolate and improve the quality of portrait photos that can already be taken with animals and not just humans.

The iPhone 11 has a “Night Mode” competing with Samsung and Google. By merging several captured images into a single background combined with software techniques the company can reduce the loss of quality in low light.

Video

In terms of video, the iPhone 11 can capture 4K video at 60fps, deliver slow-motion, time-lapse images. The video app interface has some changes. We can mention the style of recording videos on Instagram where while shooting photos you can hold down the button to make videos.

On the front camera, Apple has a wide-angle sensor that can deliver 4K video at 30/60fps, even slow-motion.

Specs

As usual with a new Apple phone sell the new processor as well. Apple A13 Bionic has the most powerful processor and graphics of a smartphone says Apple. About the battery, the company does not provide details except that the iPhone 11 lasts 1 hour longer than the iPhone XR.

Price and availability

iPhone 11 starts at $699. Orders starts on Friday September 13th while the phone is in stores from September 20th.

iPhone 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max

Design

Unlike the iPhone 11, the iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max have three rear cameras with steel construction materials and a glass rear cover. The phone comes in four colors: green, gray, white and gold.

The Screen

iPhone 11 Pro has a 5.8-inch screen while the Pro Max a 6.5-inch. Both models have 2M:1 Super Retina OLED display, 1,200nits brightness and True Tone technology. In fact the company calls this screen the Super Retina XDR.

Key Specs

Like the iPhone 11, the Pro and Pro Max models come with the A13 Bionic chip. Battery life on the iPhone 11 Pro is four hours longer than the iPhone XS while the 11 Pro is 5 hours longer than the iPhone XS Max.

Both phones come with 18W fast charging technology.

Camera

The one who stole the iPhone 11 show was obviously the camera, or the camera system of the iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max.

Pro models have three 12-megapixel rear cameras each: a 26mm wide-angle, a 52mm telephoto and a 13mm super wide-angle. The latter reaches a 120-degree field of view. The camera system also has a new feature called Deep Fusion. This feature captures nine images which the image processor and the neural engine combine pixel by pixel into one image thanks to the A13 Bionic power.

Apple says the cameras are factory-calibrated so that when switching between sensors, there is no change in exposure, focus and color temperature.

Price and availability

iPhone 11 Pro starts at $999 and iPhone 11 Pro Max at $1,099. Orders starts on Friday September 13th and shipments on September 20th.

Samsung Galaxy A90

Samsung Galaxy A90 is a mid-range Phone with high-end Specifications

Most of the 5G phones we have seen recently have been flagships of big names like Galaxy Note 10 Plus 5G, Galaxy S10+ 5G or OnePlus 7 Pro 5G.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

But Samsung‘s latest 5G phone is a mid-range phone and belongs to the Galaxy A line.

In recent months the company has introduced other mid-range Galaxy A models that come with high-end options such as four-camera systems in an effort to combat the aggressive competition of Chinese manufacturers.

Such is the case with the Galaxy A90 5G which also has support for the Samsung DeX. Galaxy A90 5G has a Snapdragon 855 processor, 6 or 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

The 6.7-inch display is a 1080p OLED panel with a small “Infinity-U” notch and a built-in fingerprint scanner. At the rear is a triple camera system with a 48-megapixel main sensor, an 8-megapixel super wide camera and a 5-megapixel depth sensor along with a 32-megapixel selfie camera.

The battery is 4,500 mAh and is powered by 25W technology. 5G of course makes a difference to phones of the same category as the Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro. The phone is on sale today in South Korea while the company has not provided details about the price.
