Instagram facilitates comments with “emoji”

Instagram has added a short path to its app, placing the most used “emoji” on your keyboard when you start commenting on a post.

The new feature appeared on Thursday, but has been in public testing since May, both on Android and iOS.

The new emoji bar will not appear in other areas where the keypad is used, such as reacting to a story or your posts titles. But given the large number of people who comment on emoji, this should help shorten the time it takes to post a comment.

New “emoji” personalized shortcuts are now available in the latest Instagram update on Android and iOS.

The whole world without internet: What will happen on October 11?

After a few weeks, the internet will be blocked for millions of users around the world. The blockage will occur on October 11, as the “security keys” that protect a significant part of the network will be changed.

This process is called “KSK Rollover“, and at this point many users can see a “server problems” notice.

For users to be affected by this “blackout“, the problems will appear on October 11 or 48 hours late.

This will happen because many of the servers running the Internet store a copy for two days. For the last time, this process took place in 2010 and this security system called KSK-2010 will no longer be available, while the “new security key” will be called KSK-2017.

This is the discussion that has been made in Nion among some of Europe’s elite trainers at the annual meeting of the “Uefa Elite Club Coaches” forum.

“Trainers think that goal is not as difficult as in the past, and therefore think that the rule should be revised,” said the deputy secretary-general of UEFA, who added that they would do so because “The logic is that football is changing and the weight of goals outside home does not have the same weight as years ago when the rule was introduced.”

Google Chrome gets a big redesign and new features for its 10th birthday

Chrome is turning ten, and it’s getting a makeover to celebrate. Google today announced a wide set of changes coming to the world’s most popular browser – some aesthetic, and some functional.

Most notably, the app now has a flatter, rounder design more in line with Google’s Material Design principles; these changes will be seen on both mobile and desktop. Website icons are now easier to see when you’ve overloaded a window with tabs, and menus and other design elements have been tweaked and simplified throughout various versions of the app.

(Truth be told, we’ve been seeing these changes in Chrome betas for ages, but it’s nice to finally see them roll out.)

In terms of utility, here are some of the most notable changes:

Chrome revamped its autofill and password manager to be more accurate across different sites.
Speaking of passwords, Chrome can now auto-generate a strong password that will be linked to your Google account. Think barebones LastPass, right in Chrome.
The search bar – officially known as the Omnibox – can now show you more information without needing to open a new tab.
You can now search for a specific tab within the Omnibox, useful for when you’re inundated with tabs too small to read.
You’ll soon be able to search through your Google Drive right from the search bar.
You can now create shortcuts for your favorite sites on the new tab page, as well as set a background image.

The update is rolling out to users today. In case you’re wondering about performance, Google says it continues to work on improving startup time, latency, memory use and more, although it doesn’t seem we’ll see changes there to this particular build.

Hopefully sooner rather than later. A man can dream.
