And when it comes to traditional engines, the new Golf will be available in the TSI, TDI and TGI versions. The first version will be 1.0-liter petrol (TSI) that will produce from 89 to 109 horsepower, while the 1.5-liter TFSI with 129 horsepower and 148 horsepower respectively. It will also feature a 2.0-liter TDI diesel engine that has the capacity to produce 114 horsepower.
The new Golf uses the latest version of the Audi MQB platform, and the dimensions have not changed significantly from previous models: it is 4,284 mm long, 1,789 mm wide and 1,456 high, while the space between axles is 2,636 mm.
While the exterior is cooler, the interior is noticeably different, with special focus on digital dashboard instrumentation, where 10-inch and 10.25-inch touchscreen displays are key to maximizing enjoyable driving of this car.
Recall that the new Golf will be released next year, while their prices are not yet known. GTI and GTD models are also expected to be available in the wide range.
