LG Electronics will launch their 5G phone this week

LG Electronics will launch its first phone supporting fifth generation (5G) technology, LG’s V50 ThinQ 5G in the domestic market on Friday.

The technology giant initially planned to launch the phone on April 19 but postponed the plan to ensure the performance of the new product in next-generation networks.

The launch of LG‘s 5G phone will give consumers more choice, as the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G, which was released on April 5, has been the only phone that supports 5G networks so far.

With the launch of the new phone, LG Electronics intends to increase the performance of their phone unit, which has recorded operating losses for 16 consecutive quarters up to the first quarter of this year.

Unveiled at the Barcelona World Congress in February 2019, the phone has a more stable platform and offers rich multimedia features, according to the company.

“We will provide bigger users with the benefits that they can experience the V50ThinQ 5G’s excellent performance,” said Oh Seong-jin, who is responsible for telephone marketing at LG Electronics.

The new product costs 1.2 million won in the domestic market, which is about 900 euros.

LG will bring V50 with 5G network in South Korea, on May 10th

V50 will be available in three local operators and has a price of about $1,035. That makes it about $173 cheaper than the Galaxy S10 5G.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″ tdc_css=””]

Initially, the V50 had to launch on April 19 in South Korea, but LG delayed it to take more time to optimize the Snapdragon 855 and X55 modems.

So far, the 5G role has been limited to South Korea and has not provided the best user experience.

Despite this, LG has now decided to launch the V50 due to the strong public interest in the 5G at present, instead of jeopardizing the V50 being forgotten.

That makes sense, because Samsung and Xiaomi are ahead with the launch of their 5G phones.

V50 features a 6.4 inches OLED QHD + screen, Snapdragon 855, three cameras on the back, two on the front, and a massive 4,000 mAh battery.

Huawei unveils the first 5G hardware for cars

Huawei launched on Monday, what could be the world’s first communications 5G hardware for the automotive industry.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″ tdc_css=””]

This move is a sign of the company’s ambition to become the leader and leading supplier of self-steering technology for cars.

Huawei‘s hardware is called the MH5000 and is a 5G Balong 5000 chip-based gadget launched in January.

The module was introduced at the Shanghai Car Show, which is being held for a week. Huawei said the module will be implemented in the automotive sector by the second half of this year.

In recent years, Huawei has tested interconnected car technology in several Chinese cities like Shanghai, Shenzhen and Wuxi.

The company that is the world’s largest telecommunications equipment manufacturer has entered a competition to become a global leader in 5G networks.

However, it has been targeted by America’s criticisms and accusations of espionage on behalf of China. Huawei has repeatedly denied these charges.

LG postpones the 5G phone debut

LG will postpone the launch of the first 5G device, the LG V50 ThinQ phone in South Korea. On an official stand, the company said it would push its debut to focus on the “completion” of the phone that had to arrive on April 19th.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″ tdc_css=””]

LG added that it was working closely with Qualcomm and South Korean mobile operators to improve the 5G experience. The debut date will confirm at a second notice the company said.

South Korea’s 5G Network was launched on April 3 a few hours before the US Verizon network was launched on the same day.

Verizon criticized the debut she saw as a 5G phone ad for a small number of celebrities.

The network was unavailable until April 5th when the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G went on sale.

It is not known what it means to postpone LG’s 5G phone to the rest of the world.

Intel fall back from competing for 5G of smartphones

Few hours after shocking news that Apple and Qualcomm had signed an agreement, Intel unexpectedly announced it would fall back completely from the 5G modems for smartphones.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

Apple has been trying to replace Qualcomm and Intel modems recently, but this latest faced problems with implementing the 5G.

In a press release, Intel said it will not launch a 5G modem for smartphones although it planned to do so in 2020.

There has been speculation that the company has not reached deadlines and even Apple has lost confidence in Intel.

That is why Apple will not sell an iPhone with 5G at least for the next two years at a time when rivals like Samsung and Huawei have already done so.

Intel CEO said they were excited about the 5G but not the smartphones since there was no reliable route that could bring profit to the company.

In November last year it was said that Intel was accelerating the development of 5G modems and even giving a clear plan to CES in Jana.

Now the company says it will develop 4G and 5G technologies for IoT and computers as it will continue to invest in 5G infrastructure.

Samsung launches the new S10 model, Galaxy S10 5G

Samsung launches the new S10 model, Galaxy S10 5G

In an official statement, Samsung has announced that the Galaxy S10 5G will be released tomorrow. The device will be an exclusive one in South Korea, but Bloomberg has revealed that the first orders in the US begin on April 18 and launch on May 16 – industry expert @EvLeaks agrees.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

Thus, it will be the first smartphone in the 5G market and will launch on Verizon’s 5G network. Verizon claims that 5G will bring speed “20 times faster than 4G LTE“.

The screen is a 6.7 inches (Galaxy S10 Plus is 6.4 inches), has future generation storage that is twice as fast as the Galaxy S10 and the other RAM that is smaller and more energy efficient.

This allows the device to fit with a massive 4,500 mAh battery (Galaxy S10 Plus – 4,100 mAh, Galaxy S10 – 3,500 mAh) and fill faster.

And maybe the best of all, the price is not as crazy as you might think.

In South Korea, the Galaxy S10 5G will start at 1.39M won ($1,230 – 256GB), which is approximately at the same price as the 1TB Galaxy S10 Plus, rising to 1.55M won ($1,360-512GB).

Galaxy S10 5G: Everything You Need to Know

The fourth member of the new Galaxy S10 family will be the later, but the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G promises to bring some special talents. This will be the first Galaxy S series phone to support 5G networks.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

The 5G Part comes from the Qualcomm Snapdragon X50 modem, but in addition to the larger data speeds, it has to be more or less the same as on other S10 devices.

This includes features like Wireless PowerShare, 4K Ultra HD video recording with HDR10 + support and the latest Samsung One UI interface.

In many ways, the Galaxy S10 5G is the same smartphone as the rest of the S10 line. Uses the Snapdragon 855 processor, has 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, and an Infinity-O screen without any frame.

However, it is the largest of the four: with a 6.7-inch screen, it is a device approximately the same size as the Galaxy Note 9.

This does not mean that there are no differences. What distinguishes most is a very large battery, bringing a capacity of 4,500 mAh, with the assumption that 5G will be hungry for power.

The company announced today that it has joined a number of telephone network operators in several countries including France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Switzerland and Britain to bring the Galaxy S10 5G model to Europe in June.

Price details remain unavailable at this time, but phones will be supported by Deutsche Telekom, EE, Orange, Sunrise, Swisscom, Vodafone, TIM and Telefonica.

South Korea’s technology giant first confirmed in August last year that it was already working with telephone carriers and partners around the world to incorporate the 5G modem, the Exynos Modem 5100, into targeted devices.

Official: LG’s 5G phone comes in February, ahead of Samsung

LG is set to surpass the Samsung Galaxy S10 with their new 5G phone which has received an official launch date along with some excellent leaked specifications.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

We do not know if it comes to Thinq V50, a V50 version, or a single 5G device.

LG officially said it will launch the first capable 5G phone at MWC 2019, which will be held in late February, specifically on the 24th.

This should help put it in a good position for competition, which is also expected to launch 5G network phones of the next generation.

Speculation has revealed more than what to expect from the 5G phone, including a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 CPU and a powerful 4,000mAh battery.

LG says the 5G phone will also be available outside South Korea, especially in the US and Europe.

LG confirms 5G phone, with 4,000 mAh battery

Or at least discover their features before the right time. This habit has not changed at all, so it’s not very strange that LG has officially confirmed it will feature a 5G phone at MWC 2019 next month. But more than that, the company is also revealing the three main features that the phone will have.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″ tdc_css=””]

Of course, there was no doubt that LG would not enter the 5G trend. In fact, it was one of the first OEMs that was publicly engaged in technology. In August last year, the company announced a partnership with Sprint to bring the next 5G phone to the US. In Europe, of course, there will be partnerships with more than one operator.

But more than just the existence of the phone, LG has revealed some details about the device.

LG boasts that their 5G phone will have a 4,000mAh battery that is 20% larger than the LG V40. This is to meet the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 requirements as well as the 5G connection.

Together, these features address what LG said was the main concerns users have about an activated 5G phone.
