Galaxy S10’s Ultrasonic Scanner Can be “Defeated” From a $3.5 Screen Protector

Samsung has started the work on the next revolutionary Galaxy S11 phone, but the company is already facing a major problem that millions of Galaxy S10 and Note 10 users need to know.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

A massive security problem has been detected in the Galaxy S10 fingerprint sensor. Hackers already have a way of avoiding the ultra-sonic scanner and unlock the smartphone.

The solution costs only $3 and a half and can blur the fingerprint scanner. It can even be used to gain access to credit cards and banking applications. Just a screen protector bought on eBay is enough and anyone can access your Galaxy S10 phone even if you have the scanner turned on.

Lisa, 34, after using the screen protector, she continued using the phone as usual but later realized that her husband could access the phone to using his fingerprint.

Samsung has only stated that authorized screen protectors should be used with the Galaxy S10. However criminals who want to access your phone already know what tools they need.

Interestingly, the ultrasonic scanner is seen as one of the most reliable fingerprint readers under the screen in the world. Samsung may address this problem with an update but if it fails then there is a real problem in its hands.

Samsung launches the Olympic version of the Galaxy S10+, the Olympic Game Edition

Samsung has launched a Galaxy S10+ Olympic edition to celebrate the Summer 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″ tdc_css=””]

With the event being held in Japan, it should not be surprising to find out where the exclusive version of the phone is available – although consumers will not have to wait until 2020 to get it: it’s on sale now for $1,000.

This is not the first time Samsung has launched an Olympic version of a phone.

First, it was the Galaxy Note’s Olympic edition in 2012, followed by the Galaxy Note 3 Olympic Edition in 2014, the Galaxy S7’s 2016 Olympic edition and the Galaxy Note 8 Olympic Edition in 2018.

The Galaxy S10+ Olympic Game Edition is not so different from the Galaxy S10+ Standard Color Prism White model, with the main difference being the inclusion of a Tokio 2020 emblem at the back.

There is no information as to whether Samsung is planning to bring the Olympic Games edition to other markets.

Galaxy S10 Vs. IPhone: 5 Reasons to Pass On Galaxy S10!

Galaxy S10 Vs. IPhone: 5 Reasons to Pass On Galaxy S10!

It’s almost two months since Samsung’s unpacked event where the S10, S10 +, S10e, S10 5G and Galaxy Flex were introduced, and the question I’m guessing is: Should I consider switching from iPhone to Samsung for iPhone users?

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

Below I will make a comparison of the best smartphones that these companies offer.

> Check Out: Reasons why the Galaxy S10E is better than the iPhone XR

Galaxy S10 vs. iPhone: Technical Specs

1. The Screen

Samsung produces some of the best smartphone screens, and the six phones above use these screens. iPhone XS, XS Max and of course the whole line of Galaxy S10 uses these OLED screens.

They all are super sharp, corner to corner and super beautiful. They offer vibrant colors, fantastic lighting and super contrast. The Galaxy S10 is the first to use the HDR10 + certification, on the other hand, the iPhone Xs and XS Max support only the HDR10.

2. Notch

The other change is to size and placement of the notch. The latest Apple phones use the same notch as the previous iPhone. It’s not too wide but it’s long and leaves a lot of space on the side. While the new Samsung line has a much smaller cut.

This means that the new Samsung phones will give more space to use the screen as well as the new cutting of Samsung has inspired and many users to create specially wallpaper to utilize the notch.

3. The Battery

iPhone XS, XS Max and XR may be Apple’s phones that carry more batteries than all their predecessors. Especially the iPhone XR which has captivated its users with battery performance.

But compared to the new line of Samsung are far behind. The new S10 line with a battery of 3100mAh minimum to a massive 4100mAh battery found in S10 +. Although with a screen almost doubled in Pixels and larger screen the S10 + again manages to have a 7-hour screen usage. In addition to these phones, Samsung supports fast charging and comes with a 15W direct charger in the box. They are also the first to support version 2 of the fast wireless charging. One of the new innovations is the ability to charge other phones.

Yes Yes you read right, a good friend with the Galaxy S10 can charge your phone / headset as long as they support wireless charging.

4. Three super-cameras of Samsung

Phone makers in recent years are using different camera systems. Google Pixel 3 which is held as one of the best camera phones has just one lens. The iPhone has nearly three years that it has two cameras on its phones. While now Samsung is offering a third camera.

The new Galaxy S10 and S10 + come with a system of three cameras. The main 12mpx camera, the 12mpx telephoto camera and the ultrawide 16mpx camera. Ultrawide camera is the widest camera in the market. At the moment is the most liked camera from the three system cameras.

> Check Out: DxOMark: The Galaxy S10+ has the best front camera ever

Samsung has done a very good job of not removing the Ultrawide camera to the Galaxy S10e but just removing the telephoto camera. Another novelty of Samsung’s camera is and Super steady mode. Which means you can shoot at the cat. 1080p and the video will be displayed without any vibration or vibration.

5. The Price

All the phones mentioned above are from the most expensive phones of the moment. But in this category I compare the two cheaper models.

Both companies have their “cheap” versions of the iPhone XR and Galaxy S10e. The basic price that came out on the market was $750. With this price of iPhone XR Apple has made many compromises. On the other hand Samsung seems to have made no compromise with the S10e.

Samsung Galaxy S10 scores 3 points out of 10, regarding the possibility of repair

Samsung Galaxy S10 scores 3 points out of 10, regarding the possibility of repair

Because of the high prices, many of us are holding the same phones longer than before, where instead of upgrading every year, we can keep them for up to three years.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″ tdc_css=””]

That means we have to take care of our equipment, but we need to make sure that they can be easily repaired if they need repair.

According to a recent iFix test, the Samsung Galaxy S10 will not be the easiest phone to repair. The report has given the phone 3 gloomy points of 10 in terms of repair, citing issues such as a “hard” replacement battery, and a glass attached to the front and back that means more bent great for breaking.

However iFixit notes that the components are mostly modular, which means that they can be replaced individually, as opposed to replacing some components for only one part.

The result of repair may not matter to most people, but it is something to consider if you plan to keep your phone for a long time.

Galaxy S10 is rated as the best Screen 'ever' Smartphone

Galaxy S10 is rated as the best Screen ‘ever’ Smartphone

But one thing that is particularly difficult to test is the absolute quality of the screen, which should be trusted to experts.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″ tdc_css=””]

And the expert says the S10 screen is the best ever on a smartphone.

Ray Soneira has tested every important phone, tablet, and laptop series for many years, using all cold calibration measurements, reflection and brightness measurements, and other measurements that go with this work. So when he says the S10 screen is “absolutely amazing and beautiful,” it’s worth considering.

OLED technology has advanced far from the first I’ve encountered in Zune HD – which still works and looks wonderful. Samsung has advanced far beyond this and OLED and has improved many drawbacks, “Soneira said.

Galaxy S10 has the most accurate color screen we’ve ever measured. It’s visually perfect, and almost certainly better than your existing phone, your HDTV, tablets, laptops, and computer monitors, as demonstrated in our full-color metrics. “

Galaxy S10 with the Snapdragon processor performs better than the Exynos model

Galaxy S10 with the Snapdragon processor performs better than the Exynos model

As many may know so far, Samsung‘s main devices usually start with two different processors, depending on the market. Some markets will take the Qualcomm chip, while others will use Samsung’s Exynos.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″ tdc_css=””]

While apparently Samsung has done everything it can to ensure enduring user experience, the latest standards do not look very good.

According to the AnandTech team, they have put both smartphones in their standard tests and, unfortunately, the Snapdragon 855 version of the Galaxy S10 has managed to outperform the Exynos 9820 with a considerable margin.

In terms of editing videos using the standard PCMark Work 2.0, Snapdragon varied 6.545 points versus Exynos, marking 5.596.

As far as photo editing is concerned, the gap is even broader, with the Snapdragon model recording 17,496 against 11,412 of Exynos.

Now, these are just test results and do not necessarily create the full reality.

DxOMark: The Galaxy S10+ has the best front camera ever

The smartphone was introduced just two days ago, but the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus is already gaining high points for the power of photography by DxOMark, the industry standard for all things related to camera phones.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″ tdc_css=””]

Last month, DxOMark announced a new test for selfie cameras designed to tell you which phone is the best for the front camera.

Well, the Galaxy S10 Plus, with dual selfie sensors and the second RGB depth camera, has already gained this distinction, gaining a total score of 96 on the Selfie scale of DxOMark.

Citing “nice skin tones, balancing the whiteness and rendering of the render”, the review also evaluates the “selfie camera details” in bright light at all shooting distances.

Obviously, not everything scored a lot of points – DxOMark notes that the depth of the camera’s field can result in “low light color” images.

Galaxy S10 5G: Everything You Need to Know

Galaxy S10 5G: Everything You Need to Know

The fourth member of the new Galaxy S10 family will be the later, but the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G promises to bring some special talents. This will be the first Galaxy S series phone to support 5G networks.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

The 5G Part comes from the Qualcomm Snapdragon X50 modem, but in addition to the larger data speeds, it has to be more or less the same as on other S10 devices.

This includes features like Wireless PowerShare, 4K Ultra HD video recording with HDR10 + support and the latest Samsung One UI interface.

In many ways, the Galaxy S10 5G is the same smartphone as the rest of the S10 line. Uses the Snapdragon 855 processor, has 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, and an Infinity-O screen without any frame.

However, it is the largest of the four: with a 6.7-inch screen, it is a device approximately the same size as the Galaxy Note 9.

This does not mean that there are no differences. What distinguishes most is a very large battery, bringing a capacity of 4,500 mAh, with the assumption that 5G will be hungry for power.

The company announced today that it has joined a number of telephone network operators in several countries including France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Switzerland and Britain to bring the Galaxy S10 5G model to Europe in June.

Price details remain unavailable at this time, but phones will be supported by Deutsche Telekom, EE, Orange, Sunrise, Swisscom, Vodafone, TIM and Telefonica.

South Korea’s technology giant first confirmed in August last year that it was already working with telephone carriers and partners around the world to incorporate the 5G modem, the Exynos Modem 5100, into targeted devices.
