How to play GTA Online with Epic Games Store players

GTA Online PC players have expanded a lot, especially since Epic Games gave the game for free on May 21st. If you want to know how you can play with your friends who have the Steam or Rockstar version of it, here’s how to.

The answer is quite simple in fact. It works as it does with any game. Just add a player as a friend to GTA Online and they will get this request in the game. It doesn’t matter if they are Steam or Rockstar.

If you want to go one step further then, you can add them as friends through Rockstar Social Club and create your own band. This will allow you to start personal sessions where you can roam the virtual streets of Los Santos completely alone, without being interrupted by other players.

  1. Log in to GTA Online
  2. Go to the ‘Friends’ tab in the GTA Online menu
  3. Choose “Add Friend“
  4. Wait for them to accept your request
  5. Invite your friends to a new game session

If you want, you can explore Los Santos only then, but having some people with you will make things much easier for you.

Grand Theft Auto 5 practically has broken Epic Store

GTA 5 is free at Epic Store until May 21st

You might think that most people who want a game that has been out for seven years, like in the case of Grand Theft Auto 5, have already gotten it, but apparently that hasn’t been the case. The game came out for free on the Epic Games Store and immediately broked the servers in two.

At the time it was live, the store started producing 505 errors, from high demand. Epic openly acknowledged the problem on Twitter and asked everyone to be patient as they solve the problem.

As the problems seemed to calm down a bit, users began to encounter other conflicts, such as random language changes in settings.

Epic says that already most of the problems have been fixed, but that he will continue to be at the forefront of the situation if things take a turn for the worse. Until then don’t forget that GTA 5 is free in the Epic Store until May 21st.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and Origins educational tours are free until May 21st

The Greek tour describes 29 regions and 5 different themes: philosophy, famous cities, everyday life, war, and myths. While the other allows you to dive into Ptolemaic Egypt, learn the life of that time, the customs, and events through the 75 historical tours available.

More or less like a digital tour that you follow in the museum but this time you can ride a boat or climb a pyramid.

Epic reveals the first images of Unreal Engine 5

Epic Games, the studio behind Fortnite and Unreal Engine, has just released the first images of Unreal Engine 5 in action. Discovered along with a live demo on PlayStation 5, the clip helps to demonstrate the engine’s technologies, which will allow game developers to reach other levels of detail in rendering future generations of games.

This according to Epic’s statement at a press conference, in which explains how one of his goals for the next generation is to achieve “photorealism to be equal to the CG of movies and real life,” then this put it in the hands of game developers. The demo called “Lumen in the Land of Nanite” shows the two essential technologies of Unreal Engine 5: Nanite and Lumen.

The first of these, as Epic explains, refers to the “virtual geometry of micropoligons,” which will help artists create a new level of geometric detail. The technology allows for high quality, which is made up of billions of polygons that can be imported directly into the engine.

Lumen is then “a dynamic global solution that immediately reacts to the change of scene and light.” Through this, the engine allows developers to create more visually intense and dynamic scenes in very detailed environments.

Beyond these you can also see some of the existing system changes. Unreal Engine will be coming to preview from early 2021, with a full launch then later that year.

Crucible is Amazon’s new free-to-play PC shooter Game

It will be launched on May 20th

Amazon Games has unveiled its new free-to-play shooter for PC, which pits teams with hunters against enemy creatures, with the goal of getting a valuable resource, Essence. This game is called Crucible and will come in a few weeks.

According to the studio, Crucible will have three main modes, all based on team play and taking place on a planet in the corner of the familiar space. Heart of the Hives is a 4v4 PvE and PvP mode where players have to kill the Hives that appear on the planet. The team that gets 3 Hives is declared the winner.

The Alpha Hunters will face 8 teams with 2 hunters in a battle royale-like mode. So the last surviving team is declared the winner.

The latest mode is Harvester Command, which changes this structure by placing 2 teams with 8 players facing each other. They earn points by capturing and controlling Essence Harvesters. So apparently it’s a fashion similar to Capture the Flag.

In the game there are 10 different hunters, all with their own special abilities and weapons, which makes their gameplay quite different from each other. Essence collected in the game helps to improve hunters and their skills.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla cinematic trailer debuts. Here are our first impressions

Few days ago the rumors about an Assassin’s Creed at the time of the Vikings were confirmed by a Photoshop project of one of AC Valhalla’s original posters. Yesterday we had the first look at the cinematography of the game and we are convinced that Ubisoft is improving this name by attracting millions of fans to each edition.

The historical context of the game is about the long conflict between the Vikings and the English kingdoms, so we assume that the events take place between the eighth and tenth centuries. The protagonist is called Eivor, a powerful Viking leader who leads his army from the rugged shores of Norway to the fertile English lands to glory and take a place in Valhalla.

As for the world where it will take place, was the first concern of the fans, it has to do with the levels of the buildings of the time, which will probably limit the most beloved aspect of the game: parkour. But this was not a problem for AC Origins, which was developing in ancient Egypt, so they are expected to be perfected and perhaps added new styles.

In addition to the magical lands a very beautiful detail of the series is the sea, an important asset that has to do with the ability to sail, quite popular with AC Rouge and Black Flag and constantly sought after by fans.

Although the trailer does not show any signs of a battle between the ships, the Vikings are considered skilled sailors, so it would be a sin not to take action in this direction. The craft option this time around has also been brought back by Rogue as not only building restorations but entire cities can be established by our hero, thus collecting ongoing revenue.

Eivor, the Viking killer, with long blonde hair and typical braids, has a more doable body than the classic AC killers. Dressed in the skins of the time, to protect themselves from the cold and well charged with weapons, including two powerful Viking axes, bringing us back a little from the Celtic taste of God of War.

Group attacks suggest that perhaps the solo war will be more reduced, but recognizing the strengths of Assassin’s Creed’s traditional dynamics we expect a healthy balance between the two.

But after a quick navigation on Ubisoft’s official website, the spirits are calming down as Valhalla will be available for Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, Stadia and PC.

Legends of Runeterra has officially been released on PC and mobile

The beta days are over

Riot’s card strategy game, Legends of Runeterra, has been officially launched after three months in open beta. From April 28 to April 30, the game is being launched worldwide, both on PC and Mobile, with regions releasing the game at various points over two days.

The full release comes with a series of new cards called Rising Tides, and a number of new champions and cards from League of Legends have been introduced. The update also adds 11 champions, six keywords, a new cosmetic board, two makeup guards, over 120 new cards and a series of new emo-es.

The regions have also been updated, with the pirate-themed Bilgewater region officially becoming the only region and roads to existing regions have been further expanded.

Log bonuses have been added, stimulating players to sign in every day and complete daily missions for free cards. Players will be rewarded for the first seven days they enter, with rewards ranging from cards to Expedition tokens. The final prize is a new deck with two Ashe champion cards.

Beta players do not need to worry, as the update does not remove any progress made so far. All purchases and progress made before full release is transferred.

Both editions like mobile and PC can be linked to a single account, with cross-play available from the start. Here are the specs required on Windows, Android and iPhone devices:

  • Any Android device with OS 5.0, 2GB RAM and an equivalent or better Adreno 30 GPU will be able to download the game.
  • The iPhone with at least iOS9 and an Arm64 processor should be able to have this game as well, although Riot does not recommend 1 GB RAM devices such as the iPhone 5s, iPhone 6 and iPad Air 1.
  • Computer devices require Windows 7, 8.1 or 10, a 3GHz processor, 4GB of RAM, and a 512MB+ VRAM GPU.
  • Mac OS is currently not supported.
