The Porsche Macan rival carries the 4.0-liter V8 engine, with a starting price of $104,300 when it arrives this summer.
The new AMG GLC 63 gets a respectable re-design compared to the standard 20-inch wheel, new LED lanterns, bumper and more aggressive backpack, deeper side edges, wider aerodynamic hubs and exhaust pipes trapeze shape. Buyers have the option to choose even the largest 21-inch wheels.
The car is powered by a 4.0-liter V8 engine, available in two variants. The initial level model has 469 horsepower, while the most powerful S model has 503 horsepower.
Both engines feed their power through nine-speed automatic transmissions on the four car wheels. The most powerful model offers an acceleration of 0-100 km/h for 3.8 seconds and a maximum speed of 280 km/h.
To cope with additional gnats, the Mercedes-AMG has rebuilt the GLC platform with adaptive shock absorbers, six-piston brakes, and electronically-controlled differential lock.
The GLC‘s all-active steering system is also rebuilt with a new torque control unit. This unit allows the SUV to automatically change the running state (with active tires or all) depending on the road conditions.
Inside, the Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 has received the usual AMG updates. Part of these updates are the sports seats, the AMG multifunctional steering wheel and the new dashboard.
The two-screen MBUX platform has also been updated with several specific AMG menus, which provides information such as engine data, run times, and G-Force
The extra package that buyers can choose is called ‘Energizing‘. It features several interior functions such as lighting, climate control and music. According to Mercedes, this package brings functionalities that improve the driver’s well-being during long journeys.
