Radeon RX 5500

Radeon RX 5500 is the new king of 1080p gaming?

According to information recently released on the Radeon RX 5500 graphics card promotional material, among other things, it is reported that this cheaper AMD Navi technology derivative is 49% faster than the GeForce GTX1650 in AAA games, so it leaves behind the GeForce GTX 1650 with 37% on the most popular eSports titles.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

AMD Radeon RX 5500 according to some performance claims should be similar to the newer GeForce GTX 1650 Super model with 384 CUDA processors and faster GDDR6 video memory version.

Recall that AMD recently introduced the Radeon RX 5500 as a new model in the “mainstream” gaming class, which will inherit the Radeon RX 580/RX 590, but has yet to announce the exact date when it will go on sale.

Priority is given to large OEM system integrators, and only then to individual buyers. Nvidia will launch its new model for this segment of the gaming market – the GeForce GTX 1650, on November 22, so it is likely that the same period is expected for the release of the AMD Radeon RX 5500.

Intel Xe graphics card spotted on GFXBench base

Intel Xe graphics card spotted on GFXBench base

The first Intel graphics cards based on Xe architecture are expected in 2020. The first testing phase for GPUs has been completed, while Intel’s latest financial reporting highlights that it is a significant achievement for the company, reports Guru3D.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

Now in the GFXBench database is showcased the device labeled “Graphics gfx-driver-user-feature_dg1_poweron-27723 DCH ReleaseInternal“. The “dg1” label is an abbreviation for Discrete Graphics 1 and has been related to Intel Xe architecture for some time now.

No concrete benchmarking tests have been performed (or they are simply hidden), but this is certainly a testament to the functionality of the device’s GPU and driver.

Rumors point to 512 EU (execution units) for the XE graphics card, which should deliver similar performance to the Geforce RTX 2080. Intel Xe graphics cards are expected to be available non later than mid-2020.

MSI announced three TRX40 motherboards

MSI has announced three TRX40 motherboards for the third generation of Threadripper processors. The boards are intended for professionals and creators and include the Creator TRX40, TRX40 PRO 10G and TRX40 PRO WIFI models, KitGuru reports.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

MSI Creator TRX40 is the premium model in this offering, while the company points out that the motherboard comes with a new cooling solution, with a large VRM heat conductor. Heatsink and frozr fan are used for chip cooling, while protection for on-board sound hardware and dual M.2 Shield, which keeps the SSD temperature under control, are also present.

MSI’s PCIe 4.0 lines offer 64 GB/s of data traffic, enabling plenty of support for PCIe 4.0 SSDs. In addition, the M.2 XPANDER-AERO add-in card offers the option of connecting four M.2 SSDs to a single card, with data transfer speeds of 64 GB/s.

VRM uses 16 stages, while the MSI Core Boost function is coming back. Finally, the Creator TRX40 has 19 USB ports, two LAN ports (including 10G Super LAN connection), and Wi-Fi 6 support.

TRX40 PRO 10G and TRX40 PRO WIFi are very similar motherboards. Again the M.2 XPANDER card for SSD is offered, the new cooling solution for tiles. The differences are that PRO 10G offers 10G LAN, while PRO WIFI has on-board Wi-Fi 6.

The price of MSI TRX40 motherboards has not been announced, and should go on sale later in the month.

Intel claims that the 10nm desktop processors will arrive early next year

Intel claims that the 10nm desktop processors will arrive early next year

Earlier this month, Intel confirmed the company’s plans to launch the processors that will include 10nm models, while denying rumors that it will not launch 10nm desktop chipsets, reports Overclock3D.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

Now the IT World Canada site report suggests that Intel will be ready to introduce 10nm desktop processors “early next year” and also claims that the company’s production of 10nm chips is progressing well and that Intel is pleased with the stock it has.

However, this does not provide concrete answers to questions about 10nm and to what extent the platform will be available in the market. Will we see the 10nm successor of the i9-9900K processor, or will this be a Broadwell desktop version with limited release?

[td_block_3 custom_title=”More in Hardware” category_id=”15350″ limit=”3″ td_filter_default_txt=”” ajax_pagination=”next_prev” tdc_css=””]

Also, the question arises as to what will happen to Comet Lake. Rumors are circulating that Intel will release the Comet Lake processor series in early 2020, with up to 10 cores and 20 threades, which will inherit today’s eight-core Coffee Lake models. The question is whether Intel’s 10nm desktop chips will be released with 14nm models, or is this just for mobile processors?

IT World Canada also reports that Intel plans to open a third factory to produce the 10nm processors, which will significantly increase the company’s production capacity.
