Huawei Postpones the Debut of The Mate X Foldable Phone

Huawei Postpones the Debut of The Mate X Foldable Phone

The Chinese giant told CNBC and the Wall Street Journal that it was doing tests to make the device ready for customers and was acting cautiously after news of Samsung Galaxy Fold problems.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″ tdc_css=””]

The latter debuted in April but shipments were postpones indefinitely after the devices was broken just a few days of use by media analysts.

The biggest problem for Huawei is not only the sustainability of the phone but also the effects of American sanctions. Because Huawei was placed on the black list, American firms can not sell or license Huawei technology. All this situation has caused great trouble that no company would want it to be. Google has revoked the Android license, while Microsoft is expected to do the same with Windows.

Based on this, it is unknown whether Mate X will come with Android or not. CNBC says Huawei will come up with Android because it was launched before Huawei list it in the blacklist. WSJ says this is being discussed.

An alternative is the launch of phone with Huawei system operation that he has started testing. Mate X was launched in February and was well received by analysts. The 8-inch OLED screen just folds into two. It has 8GB of RAM and 5G technology but costs 2,299 euros.

Is this the first look of the Samsung Galaxy S11?

According to recent published patents, it appears that Samsung continues to work on a “bezel-less” phone with a screen surrounding the sides of the device, offering not only a full front panel, but also a significant amount of screen that includes four sides of the device.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″ tdc_css=””]

The details come from the Let’s Go Digital team, who have been following the design history for some time.

According to the information, the front camera and related sensors are applied to the curved portion of the screen.

The curved screen ensures that the whole look looks aesthetically good. The fingerprint sensor is also processed under the screen.

The camera system on the backside accommodates some camera lenses, which are applied to the right part of the panel in the middle.

However, the final design may differ from sketch, as it is not a design patent, but utility. In other words, it has to do with technology innovation and the profits and benefits of the invention.

As always with patents, the publication of techniques and methods does not necessarily mean that it will be made available to consumers, but given what we know about Samsung’s plans for their smartphones over the next twelve months, it would be expected something similar to launch in 2020, with the Galaxy S11 as the main device.

Microsoft: Next Xbox Generation will have AMD Processor, GDDR6 RAM and SSD

It has the ability to play 4K games, which is very impressive when you consider how much power 4K constantly requires, but later this year, Microsoft‘s next Xbox will make the Xbox One X look weak.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

In E3 2019, Microsoft has detailed the upcoming Xbox that is currently being referred to as Project Scarlett.

Correct hardware details are unclear, but Microsoft declares on their website that the console will use an AMD processor, GDDR6 RAM and an SSD that will make the console nearly four times as powerful as the Xbox One X.

The company is also boasting of how it will be able to play their next games in up to 120 fps.

The console is expected to be launched later in the year where other details such as the price will be revealed.

Microsoft has also revealed that Halo Infinite will also launch with Project Scarlett.

iOS 13 will let you know which applications are tracking your location and where

Apple has always been proud as a privacy-focused company, and throughout the years, the company has made changes to the iOS platform that tries to keep the privacy of its intact handsets, keeping them informed of what is happening.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″ tdc_css=””]

For example, there will be an icon in the status bar that shows when an app follows your location.

However, it seems that with iOS 13, Apple will bring privacy to the next level not only by showing which apps are following you, but also the place where then followed you.

For example, in the picture above, the screen displays a permission request where iOS 13 will ask the user if they want to allow an app to continue to track their location in the background as well.

The option also comes with a small preview map in which it shows where the app has tracked your location.

In this case, the application in question is the Tesla app that makes sense to track your location after it is connected to the respective car.

This also means that if an app has followed your location when you do not want it, then you know something is wrong.

Xiaomi explains the new transparent camera technology under the screen

Xiaomi explains the new transparent camera technology under the screen

The “notch” battle ended very quickly, and companies like Oppo and Xiaomi are starting to work in an transparent under screen cameras that hide a sensor down the screen by making “notch” unnecessary.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″ tdc_css=””]

Last week, a senior Xiaomi executive in a series of slides explained how the new camera works. For Xiaomi, the camera is placed at the top of the device, but instead of having a boundary on its side, it is expected to be part of the screen, only the camera is covered by a high-power reflective glass.

Xiaomi says configuration makes screen space transparent when capturing photos. Not being forced to reduce the camera as in the case of “notch” or “punch-hole” phones, the transparent screen system allows a larger image quality sensor to be deployed with new technology.

However, technology has not yet been perfected. In the Xiaomi slides you can still see a camera sign below the screen, but at least it is a screen space that is used. Compared to phones with pop-up cameras or rotating cameras, this system has no moving parts.

All we need is just a use of new technology in the real world.

Huawei’s newest phones will be sold without Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp

Facebook will not allow installation of applications on Huawei smartphones as reported by Reuters news agency. This is the latest example of Western technology companies that have begun to break the relationship with China’s telecommunications giant after Trump’s administration put it on the blacklist of trade.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″ tdc_css=””]

Actual Huawei’s phone owners can still download and use WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook apps and will receive ongoing updates through the Play Store.

However, Huawei can no longer include apps on new phones when they go on sale in stores.

Huawei’s phones and those in stores will have Facebook apps as well as Google services. But Facebook will deny installing applications on phones that have not yet come out of the factory.

However, the news is not as problematic as Google and ARM’s decisions limiting the company’s Android and the ability to develop its chips. It’s a blow to Huawei’s plans to build an app store beyond the Google Play Store.

Sony Xperia 5G folding is in development, will compete with Samsung Galaxy Fold

Sony Xperia 5G folding is in development, will compete with Samsung Galaxy Fold

Sony is developing a new smartphone with a folding screen to make the tablet-size screen easier to take with it, a new report says.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″ tdc_css=””]

The upcoming device will face rivals such as Samsung Galaxy Fold and Huawei Mate X.

With an OLED display, the new Xperia phone will boast support for 5G networks.

According to a new report from China, folding phone is still in the very early stages of development within the company.

Called the Xperia F, the new phone seems to brag about the 21: 9 kinematic report, which has become synonymous with the company after launching Xperia 10, Xperia 10 Plus and Xperia 1 this year.

This 21: 9 panel wide screen report makes the latest round of Sony Xperia devices much longer and faster than the competition.

As such, the folding phone is likely to be vertical rather than horizontal, as we have seen from Samsung and Huawei.

Motorola reportedly has a similar approach to Motorola’s Razrreboot, which is expected to launch in the coming months.

AMD and Samsung collaborate to bring Radeon graphics technology to smartphones

AMD and Samsung collaborate to bring Radeon graphics technology to smartphones

AMD had many surprises reserved for annual Computex 2019 electronics with Ryzen processors and Navi graphics.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

But today came the biggest surprise, a multi-year collaboration with the Korean Samsung giant. This collaboration will see AMD’s Radeon graphics licensing for use on Samsung smartphones and other mobile applications.

AMD technology will most likely be applied to Samsung’s Exynos mobile processors. This technology featured on computers, gaming consoles and cloud platforms with the partnership with Samsung can also enter the smartphone segment without having to build its mobile processor.

Still the company needs a lot of work. Radeon graphics are built for 15-65W processors. For Samsung AMD processors it needs to reduce power to less than 5W while keeping the same performance level.

The results of this partnership will take years before we see something concrete. On the other hand, there is the possibility that AMD will also license other technologies for mobile platforms such as Ryzen processors and Navi graphics.
