In recent days, we have witnessed a speculation that Samsung will host a special event before the February conference. This is in contrast to this last suggestion.
Korea Herald carries a report, citing an industry official who provides the new information. The official says LG plans to introduce 5G phones in May in Korea and the US, but things have now changed: “The company’s new leadership has changed the plan recently to not be a late customer on the 5G market.”
It is still expected that the new Samsung phone will be Galaxy S10, but have at least two different versions (maybe three) each with several variants, including various 4G and 5G options.
It is also worth noting that even if the 5G phones are published in the MWC, they may not be available until a few months later when the 5G networks are implemented.
