This is the first smartphone with the new Snapdragon 768G processor
Xiaomi today unveiled a new smartphone in the Redmi K30 series. Called the Redmi K30 5G Racing Edition, this smartphone is the first with the new Snapdragon 768G processor.
The new processor comes with 5G technology but more performance than the Snapdragon 765 and 765G. It has a frequency of 2.8Ghz, 400Mhz more than its predecessors.
It also increases the performance of the Adreno 620 graphics by 15%. In addition to this processor, Redmi K30 Racing Edition comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal memory. Beyond the interior hardware, the smartphone has a 120Hz 6.67-inch FullHD+ screen with a resolution of 1080×2400 pixels and a 20:9 aspect ratio.
At the rear is a four-camera configuration consisting of a 64-megapixel Sony IMX686, a super-wide 8-megapixel angle, a 5-megapixel macro, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.
On the front is a 20-megapixel selfie camera accompanied by a 2-megapixel depth sensor. In terms of connectivity, the phone has a USB-C port, a 3.5mm headphone port, NFC, GPS, 5G, and two SIM cards.
Finally the battery has a capacity of 4,500 mAh and 30W fast charging technology. There is no wireless charging technology.
Redmi K30 Racing Edition: Price and Availability
For now, the Redmi K30 Racing Edition is launched only in China, priced at 1,999 Chinese Yuan (~$282).
