LG WING 5G revealed with dual-screen and a very interesting concept

LG surprises with its new dual-screen 5G smartphone with a very interesting concept

Folding screens, or a dual-screen, are apparently the only products in a greedy market that still generate any kind of attention. LG has achieved this with its new Wing 5G smartphone.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

Korean tech giant LG on Monday unveiled a smartphone with a screen which rotates to reveal a second smaller screen beneath it. The second screen of the LG Wing can function either completely independent of the main screen or accompany it by serving as a gaming controller and media contents of the first screen.

Unusual T shape

In a normal condition, the smartphone is presented with a conventional vertical screen. A second screen is hidden below. Users can rotate the 6.8-inch FHD+ P-OLED home screen to a horizontal position, for example, to watch videos in widescreen mode. This gives a view of a vertical, second 3.9-inch G-OLED screen, and 1240 x 1080 pixels across its face, that can be used for applications, information, or other notifications.

Will LG’s new smartphone design change its fate?

The company revealed more than the final design but also key aspects that shape the phone

LG has embarked on a new adventure in hopes of re-imagining the company’s image. For the first time it will not only change the design of smartphones but also their designations. These changes will be materialized for the first time in LG Velvet, the next generation smartphone.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

But LG Velvet resembles more of an LG attempt to capture the latest trends than a new design philosophy. What LG advertises as a “3D Arc” design is something other manufacturers have been doing for a long time, bending the screens toward the edges and creating an ergonomic design.

On the other side, the Waterdrop camera is a nice visual element. The published video shows in which segment LG Velvet will be placed. The company calls it “mass premium” which means it can be mid-range with processors like the Snapdragon 765 and 5G.

What this phone will have unlike today’s flagships is the 3.5mm headphone port.

Overall LG Velvet will be a charming smartphone for the masses but will it be enough to change the fate of the company in this industry?

LG unveils a new revolutionary design for smartphones

The new model has an unusual design where the rear cameras are palced according to their size from largest to smallest

LG Electronics has unveiled a new design for the next flagship smartphone which is expected to debut next month in South Korea.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

LG did not provide details on the specifics of the hardware but said it would be a premium model for the masses which means it will have a more affordable price than rivals’ flagships.

The new smartphone will have a new name by throwing away the G-branding used by LG since 2013.

Earlier this week LG said it expects revenue for the first quarter of the year to increase by 21.1% while household appliances are the biggest contributor to revenue.

A dual screen folding phone is patented by LG

A dual screen folding phone is patented by LG

The last time, and probably the first, we’ve seen a dual folding phone was when Xiaomi started promoting their folding approach, with leaks beginning in January, followed by official marketing and more in March.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

It seems that the Chinese company is not the only one exploring the idea.

LG avoided the folding device theme last year, as the company preferred to go with a secondary display for the V50 ThinQ, and its next successor at IFA 2019, but can be dropped directly into a dual folding phone, such as its patent. featured in recently reveals.

Filed in China on March 6, this year, the patent describes and shows, through its sketches, a phone that would have a double fold, which, when unfolded, would be twice as wide as the folded version of his.

Whether the device will remain just a concept or will be put into production remains to be seen.

LG G8S Global Launch Confirmed

LG G8S Global Launch Confirmed

Many LG fans have been looking for G8S ThinQ, however, the company has kept it directly out of the reach of the world.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″ tdc_css=””]

LG introduced this device in Taiwan, where it has remained exclusive for some time now. However, the wait for LG fans is finally over. The company has confirmed it is now launching the LG G8S ThinQ globally.

As the name suggests, the LG G8S is a bit different from the G8. It’s more or less the same device with some minor changes and an extra camera. While the LG G8 has only two rear cameras, the G8S has a standard, wide system, and a telephoto camera at the back. There is also a Z-Camera depth sensor at the front for facial and gesture recognition.

LG also increased the screen size from 6.1 to 6.2 inches but lowered the resolution from 1440p to 1080p. The panel itself is still OLED. Core specifications remain the same, however, with a Snapdragon 855 processor coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

LG will offer the black and white device later this month in Latin America, Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Price information will be revealed at launch.

LG Electronics will launch their 5G phone this week

LG Electronics will launch its first phone supporting fifth generation (5G) technology, LG’s V50 ThinQ 5G in the domestic market on Friday.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

The technology giant initially planned to launch the phone on April 19 but postponed the plan to ensure the performance of the new product in next-generation networks.

The launch of LG‘s 5G phone will give consumers more choice, as the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G, which was released on April 5, has been the only phone that supports 5G networks so far.

With the launch of the new phone, LG Electronics intends to increase the performance of their phone unit, which has recorded operating losses for 16 consecutive quarters up to the first quarter of this year.

Unveiled at the Barcelona World Congress in February 2019, the phone has a more stable platform and offers rich multimedia features, according to the company.

“We will provide bigger users with the benefits that they can experience the V50ThinQ 5G’s excellent performance,” said Oh Seong-jin, who is responsible for telephone marketing at LG Electronics.

The new product costs 1.2 million won in the domestic market, which is about 900 euros.
