To switch between the Polygonal Lasso Tool and Magnetic Lasso Tool, press Shift+L on both Windows and Mac. The Magnetic option lets you select specific magnetic points and edges over the image layer, and the Polygonal option lets you select an area by clicking and placing points over the edges of the desired shape. Press the Alt/Opt key to form straight lines. 

  • Duplicate Layer

For every photo editing project, duplicating the image or making a copy of your current (image) layer is highly recommended.   • Clone Stamp Tool

The new models are based on the RDNA 2 architecture, which offers a giant step in performance during the first generation. More specifically, we have a 54% increase in efficiency per watt compared to RDNA architecture. In fact, according to AMD, RNDA 2 cards offer almost twice the performance in 4K compared to similar models of previous architecture.

The spearhead in AMD’s lineup is the Radeon RX 6800 XT, which practically comes face to face with the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080, which it even beats in some cases while using fewer watts. The card is equipped with 72 computing units and 16 GB of memory. The basic kernel clock reaches 2015MHz and the boost clock reaches 2250MHz.

However, AMD does not stop there. The ‘reds’ also have a letter that beats the RTX 3090. We are talking about the Radeon RX 6900 XT, the most powerful card of AMD’s new lineup. Consuming only 300 watts, AMD proposes the RTX 3090 in various uses. In total, it is equipped with 16 GB of memory and 128 MB of “infinity cache”. Its core clock time reaches 2015MHz and the boost clock reaches 2250MHz.

Back to pricing now, the AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT will debut on November 18 with a price tag of up to $650. Its smaller sister, the RX 6800, will cost $580 and hit the market the same day. Lastly, the AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT is expected on December 8 for $1,000.

Meet T-RAT, a New Malware You Can Control Via Telegram

A new remote access trojan (RAT) advertisement has been circulating on Russian underground hacking forums recently, according to cybersecurity researchers. Named T-RAT, the new malware allows hackers to take over infected devices using a Telegram channel instead of a web-based administration panel. The advertisement reads that T-RAT offers users a simpler and faster way to access devices from any location. All they need is an Internet connection and the malware. The content is in Russian and highlights comfort and convenience because buyers can control the RAT from their smartphone using the Telegram app.

The encrypted-messaging app’s channel supports 98 commands that allow hackers to steal passwords and similar data, browse through the victim’s files, plant a keylogger, access the microphone and record audio, take pictures using the camera, and collect content on clipboard. Furthermore, T-RAT enables cybercriminals to hijack cryptocurrency and digital currency transactions by checking the clipboard for coin addresses and replacing them. This mechanism, called clipper, supports BTC, Ripple, Tron, Qiwi, and much more.

The malware can also block access to websites like antivirus providers, redirect programs, and disable the taskbar and task manager, causing major system disruptions. @3xp0rtblog discovered T-RAT and posted information on Twitter, including advertisement banners, a sample hash, and selling threads. According to ZDNet, the new RAT is available for $45. Karsten Hahn, a security researcher at G DATA, verified that T-RAT lives up to its expectations, adding that it is only the latest in a series of malicious software that can be controlled through Telegram. And although T-RAT’s threat is still relatively low, mostly because hackers remain skeptical about commercial malware, Hahn thinks this new RAT is already gaining an audience.

“There are regular uploads of new T-RAT samples to VirusTotal. I would assume it is in distribution but have no further evidence of it,” said Hahn.

The Mate 40 Pro is Huawei’s latest super phone, which the company hopes to compete with the iPhone 12 Pro and Samsung’s Galaxy S20 and Note series. A phone with an attractive body, packed with the latest high technology and 5G. But while there are strong specifications on paper, it suffers from a major problem. 

The Camera

The main sensor has been increased from 40MP to 50MP. It manages to shoot in 4K at 60 fps but also slow-motion clips at 1080p at 480 fps and 3,840 fps at 720p. YES, you read it well, as many frames per second as you can film even one bullet coming out of the pistol. The Cine camera has a 20MP sensor and an ultra-wide-angle and is the first camera on a smartphone to remove distortion features. The 125mm periscope returns to the other 12MP sensor and this time reaches up to 5x zoom unlike the 3x of the predecessor.

Unlike the standard version, the Pro reaches up to 10x optical zoom, for results we have to wait for testing.

The Screen

The 6.73″ OLED display is pretty much a jump from the 6.53″ of the Mate P30. The resolution has also been increased to 1,344 x 2,772px. And apparently, Huawei has decided to still be among the Android with side curved screen, even pretty curved, 88° arc. Do not be afraid, the physical buttons are still present. The refresh rate does not go more than 90Hz while the boxes are stereo and equipped with 3D sound.

The Battery

The battery has also received special treatment. The capacity remains 4,400mAh but the speed at which it is charged is quite higher. With a USB-C cable, it can reach up to 66W of charge. With wireless it reaches up to 50W, surprising!

The power chip is the Kirin 9000 and joins Apple in the 5nm architecture. Undoubtedly the 5G modem is present in both mmWave and sub6 infrastructures. The Huawei Mate 40 Pro will come to Europe with only an 8GB/256GB configuration with a memory card space. The bold $1,200 price tag will bring a range of colors.

Pro+ uses ceramic materials and reaches up to 12GB RAM. Huawei is here and does not intend to leave, this is definitely confirmed by the Porsche version present this time as well.

But is it worth it?

Due to the ongoing restrictions imposed by the US government, Huawei phones can not use any Google services, including Gmail, Maps and Chrome and, most importantly, the Google Play Store. While Huawei has its own app store (for which I will come later) it is nowhere to rival Google and makes this phone difficult to recommend to any of its rivals.
