16 GB LPDDR5 DRAM

Samsung Starts Mass Production of First 16 GB LPDDR5 DRAM for Next-Gen Premium Smartphones

Samsung has begun producing DDR5 DRAM which is potentially the fastest memory in the world to be used on smartphones and mobile devices.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

The device is a 16 GB LPDDR5 chip manufactured with 10 nm technology capable of transferring data at 5,500 megabits per second. That’s about 1.3 times faster than the previous LPDDR4X memory. The chip is also 20 percent more energy efficient.

This memory device is likely to see widespread use in 5G devices, but artificial intelligence and gaming are also chip strengths that will surely see adoption on the high-end smartphones.

Dying Light

Dying Light is free to play for the first time this weekend

Techland is celebrating its fifth anniversary with a series of events over the course of a month

Techland’s zombie survival game, Dying Light has been around for five years, yet somehow all that time has never been ready for a free weekend on Steam. Strange, isn’t it? Or maybe not, many games aren’t offered for free weekends, after all. Either way, we think it’s a little unusual for a game to have its first free weekend five years after release, but that’s what’s happening now.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

From 8PM until 8PM on February 23, Dying Light is free to play on Steam: Just head over to the Steam page, click on the “play now” button “And have fun. If you like, you can also get it for 60% off, or 67% off the Enhanced Edition 5th Anniversary Bundle, which comes with a lot of DLC.

The free weekend is part of a series of events meant to celebrate Dying Light’s fifth anniversary, which will include various events taking place between now and March 19th, and community awards including a new weapon ‘blueprint’, a “Surprise outfit” and a sticky explosive that can be gained from hunting Volatiles, a wild, dangerous zombie type that only comes out at night.

Speaking of Volatiles, yesterday Techland released a new Story Mode option for Dying Light that, among other things, reduces the risk they pose by making longer days and shorter nights. They’ll still kill you, but … they’ll just have less time to do it.

AOMEI Backupper

[AOMEI Backupper] Use Backup Software to Retain Your Precious Memories

-Do you back up your PC data regularly?

-Of course I am not!

This conversation often happens in our lives. Many of our friends even ourselves rarely back up computer data regularly. What should we do if something unexpected happens? For example, a PC is suddenly damaged, or data is lost due to a virus intrusion or incorrect operation. So we should keep in mind “Backup Data is Important”!

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″ tdc_css=””]

At this point, you might say “Backup is time-consuming, and I can’t remember the steps of backup”. Yes, I don’t like complicated things either, so I rarely do manual backups. But recently, for the first time in several years, I used a backup software to replace my rare manual backup for doing a backup. The tool called AOMEI Backupper – a best backup software to protect our valuable data forever. The biggest feature of it is that it is easy-to-use and it can be easily used to back up for PC beginners. Don’t worry about paying, because there is a free version of AOMEI Backupper. Although there are some restrictions on functions of free version, free regular backups and even disk/partition clone and other operations can be achieved. Next, I will introduce AOMEI Backupper in detail based on my personal feelings after using it. I hope this article can help those who want to easily back up their computers, or want to make a backup but do not understand the backup process, or just want to back up specific files and folders.

What Is Backup?

First, what is backup? Some people get it wrong sometimes, so let me mention it briefly. The backup is that the same data exists in two separate locations, and we can restore the data even if the data in one location is lost.

Do You Need Backup Software?

If you have a lot of important data on your computer, if you are not familiar with PC, or if you are not used to regular backups, we recommend that you try backup software. When you actually use it, you will feel that it is so easy to do regular backups with software, and you no longer have to worry about any data loss.

About AOMEI Backupper

AOMEI Backupper is the backup software of AOMEI Technology. AOMEI Technology is a software development company specializing in backup and disk management. Its products are recognized by users around the world. AOMEI Backupper Standard is an all-in-one backup freeware that embeds backup, sync, restore and clone functions at a very affordable price: FREE. The paid version is AOMEI Backupper Professional, but the backup can be done by using the free version. For normal use, I think the standard version is completely sufficient.

The AOMEI Backupper Standard allows the following backups:

  • System backup: All contents of the system partition, such as Windows operating system, applications, etc.
  • File backup: specific data files, such as documents, photos, videos
  • Disk backup: everything in HDD (create disk image)
  • Partition backup: specify a partition

How to Use AOMEI Backupper Standard to Backup Windows?

I actually backed up the entire operating system using AOMEI Backupper, so I will show you the whole process.

Step 1. Download and open AOMEI Backupper Standard from the official page. The standard version is free. Select “Backup” option from the left menu and click “System Backup”.

Step 2. AOMEI Backupper Standard automatically selects the system drive and boot drive as the source partition. Then you choose the backup destination (storage destination) path to save the system image file.

Step 3. Finally click “Start Backup” button, and then all you have to do is just wait for the backup to complete.

It didn’t end after the first backup. However, once a backup has been made, it becomes easier to back up from the second time. You can also use the schedule management function to make backups automatically, and can also choose the backup frequency and time as you want.

You can even set up automatic backups when the PC starts, right before the power is turned off, or when a USB memory is inserted.

You can also choose from three backup methods:

  • Full backup: Make a new full backup as above. The advantage is security, but the disadvantage is that it takes time and space.
  • Incremental backup: Back up all changes or additions since the last backup.
  • Differential backup: Save only the parts that have changed since the file was last saved.

Conclusion

The above is a review of AOMEI Backupper and how to use it for a full OS backup. In addition to backing up your system, you can back up any file. If you think “I don’t know what to do” or “troubleshooting”, we recommend that you try a backup with this free software. You will find that the backup process is simplified and easy to perform. If you are looking for backup software, consider the easy and free AOMEI Backupper Standard.

Call of Duty: Warzone may

Free-to-play Call of Duty: Warzone may come in March

Call of Duty: Warzone is currently slated for launch in early March

Although the battle royale for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has yet to be announced, dataminers seem to have confirmed it. Now it’s all a matter of time. This mode is supposed to be called Call of Duty: Warzone and will also be available individually, so it’s free to download. Another recent report suggests that these rumors are true.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

Call of Duty: Warzone is currently slated for launch in early March. Although some early speculation suggested that Warzone could be launched this week, the report suggests that the launch is at least a few weeks away.

Warzone is really the Custom menu option that Modern Warfare players have come across. Reporting says the game will stand on its own as a free-to-play. A week ago, analyst Daniel Ahmad said that the mode was coming soon.

Activision seems to be hoping that a modern Warfare free-to-play segment will bring more expansion to the gaming community. Blackout of Black Ops 4 was a great perspective on the genre. Let’s hope the same thing happens with Modern Warfare.

Recent Samsung and Motorola problems suggest it’s still too early to buy a foldable screen phone

Another folding screen phone is breaking

Two new phones with foldable screens, the $1,380 Galaxy Z Flip and the $1,500 Motorola Razr launched in recent weeks have begun to show they first problems.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

All seems a deja vu of a the similar situation a year ago when Galaxy Fold models sent to analysts were broken. The phone was delayed for 5 months while Samsung found a solution.

Even the latest foldable phones are showing their problems.

The Galaxy Z Flip’s screen looks like it’s plastic, not glass

Over the weekend the YouTube channel JerryRigEverything questioned the Galaxy Z Flip screen that Samsung says has a glass coating on it. In a hardness test, JerryRigEverything found that the screen of the latest Samsung phone scratched as if it were plastic rather than glass. But during a presentation conference last week, Samsung said that this is the first super thin glass phone ever made that Samsung called: “Ultra Thin Glass”.

The company’s claims sparked hope among enthusiasts that the Galaxy Z Flip would not have the Galaxy Fold problems. One thing is for sure, the Galaxy Z Flip looks more stable than the Galaxy Fold.   Samsung has also offered to replace the phone display for the first time for 119 dollars.

Motorola Razr Can Broke

Another folding screen phone is breaking. Input technology website said the phone’s screen was disconnected from the body and completely damaged after a few days of use. The site does not know how the damage was done but posted some photos to confirm its claims. Motorola has not commented on the problem.

But all this shows why Motorola and Samsung have been reluctant to share their devices with tech analysts. Motorola shipped some models only after the phone was available to consumers while Samsung left Galaxy Z Flip in their hands for only 24 hours.

Motorola’s problems are more serious than Samsung’s. But the lesson was learned from this situation: it’s too early for a folding screen phone!

IOTransfer 4

IOTransfer 4 review, the Simple, iPhone and iPad manager for Windows

The multimedia content management system of iPhone and iPad is not impeccable, and the management of photos, videos, music and other elements through iTunes is not always impeccable and intuitive. This is why there are so many alternative iPhone managers on the net for Apple devices. IOTransfer 4 is among these, and it is among the most intuitive and simple to use, with some extra features that do not concern only the Apple world. Here it allows you to do.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

Easy file transfer

First of all, after installing the phone manager, downloading it from this address, it will be necessary to connect iPhone or iPad to the PC and authorize the new manager by clicking on the pop up that appears on the screen. You’re done, you can start using the manager as if it were a common “Explorer”

In the first screen, in fact, you will have fast actions available, and you can start the file transfer with a single click. Just select Photos, Music, Videos and/or contacts to start the transfer from iPhone / iPad to PC. This is a very fast action, which requires only a click of the mouse, even if you actually won’t have full control of every single multimedia element.

In order to obtain more precise control over each file on iPad, it will be necessary to move to the Management box, the second tab at the top. From here you will have access to every single multimedia file present inside the iOS device. You can choose photos, songs, videos, books, contacts, audiobooks, podcasts, voice memos, and even apps that can be managed. By selecting the individual multimedia elements, you can easily export them to your PC, then copying photos, music or videos from iPhone / iPad to your Windows desktop or laptop. On the contrary, you can also import multimedia elements from the PC to the iOS device.

And again, as already announced, you can also manage applications, although obviously, you will not have a particularly complex control: you can easily uninstall them, even in a group, or update directly from a PC.

Free up space by removing junk files

Another particularly important tab is that relating to device cleaning. Again, the system for deleting unnecessary, obsolete, or unused files is quick and easy. It is sufficient to perform a scan to find cache files, crash logs and other garbage, to be able to delete it in just one click. In our case, while being particularly careful to delete any type of unnecessary file.

Wireless File Transfer

The transfer of files from PC to the iOS device, thanks to AirTrans, can also take place wirelessly. Just download the free AirTrans app to iPhone or iPad, and click on the AIR-Trans tab inside IOTransfer 4. From here, the Windows application will find all the iOS devices present in the same WiFi network, putting in device and desktop communication, ready to talk and exchange files in a few clicks.

Video Downloader & Converter

Not only that, but the application also includes a file converter, thanks to which, after having loaded a movie into the program, it will be possible to convert it into various format files: the possible outputs are really many, from the common AVI, MOV to HEVEC and numerous others.

Last, certainly not least, the tools that allow you to download videos from YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Twitch, etc. For the first, simply paste the link of the video you want to download. At this point, simply press the download button to start the direct download on PC.

Other Small Tools

Under the Tools tab, there is Instagram Photo Downloader, GIF Maker, iCloud Photo Manager, Similar Cleaner. Thanks to the GIF creator, however, it will be possible to create an animated GIF from a movie. Simply upload the desired video, choose the start and endpoints, as well as select the desired FPS, to create your own GIF.

Conclusions

IOTransfer 4 is a really nice manager for iPhone and iPad, both from a graphic and a functional point of view. It is fully compatible with iOS 13 and with the latest Apple devices. It allows you to manage the multimedia contents present without going through iTunes, with really intuitive and functional menus. The UI is well cared for and modern, minimal enough, but complete and with all the necessary elements in the right place. In addition, it offers download functions and video conversions, as well as allowing you to download Instagram photos and create GIFs.

Metro Exodus

Metro Exodus is finally on Steam: Get it now with a 40% discount!

4A Games is currently working on a sequel to Metro Exodus.

Metro Exodus has finally arrived on Steam, after a year on PC as an Epic Games Store exclusive. Perhaps to relieve the pain of Steam players who waited a year, 4A is offering the game with discounts. Starting now until February 18, you can get Metro Exodus on Steam for 40% off.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

Normally listed for $39.99, Exodus is currently $23.99. The game deviates from the usual Metro series formula as Artyom and his friends roam the road to Russia on a locomotive, seeing plenty of open-world locations on the road.

Below you can check out the trailer for Sam’s story, which follows Spartan and former U.S Marine Sam instead of Artyom. Sam’s goal is to return to America after the events of Exodus, but the path he must follow to achieve this is not easy.

Metro Exodus was originally slated for launch on Steam when the game came out last year. Players could even pre-order the game, up to a last-minute announcement that said it would be temporarily exclusive to the Epic Games Store.

This led to a bombardment of reviews on Steam. 4A Games is currently working on a sequel to Metro Exodus.

Five reasons why Galaxy Z Flip is much better than Galaxy Fold

Galaxy Z Flip, unlike Galaxy Fold that when opened looks like a tablet, when opened it looks like a regular smartphone

The Galaxy Unpacked event that took place in San Francisco, United States, Samsung opened it with the most anticipated announcement of all, the Galaxy Z Flip.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

Although it’s been a while since the Galaxy Fold came out, we haven’t forgotten about the infamous #FoldGate, or the time when the Fold spread and a million problems exploded before it hit the market.

Hopefully the story doesn’t repeat itself with the Z Flip, while based on design and specifics there are pretty high expectations. So far, there are five powerful reasons why the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip is so much better than a foldable Galaxy Fold phone and that it will succeed.

#1. The Z Flip is compact, convenient and with a nice design

This smartphone, closes like a shell, which is a much more compact system, and can be easily held in a pocket or bag, making the use very convenient and practical. All of these amenities are made while the Z Flip continues to look very good, based on its sleek and beautiful design.

#2. The price is much cheaper

At 1,270 euros, the Z Flip is not cheap at all, but compared to the 1,840 euros which costs Fold, it’s much more reasonable. For any smartphone that has a camera like cheap smartphones, you would not have to pay over 900 euros, but for those who want a foldable phone, then Z Flip is recommended, as it is cheaper than the Motorola Razr which costs 1,380 euros.

#3. In Z Flip is a thin layer of glass, which makes it much more durable

Unlike the inappropriate plastic used on the Galaxy Fold, the Z Flip uses a special glass developed by Samsung called the Ultra Thin Glass. The glass has made it thinner, while being said to be much more scratch resistant as well as more sensitive to use.

#4. The hidden space where it folds

Like any foldable smartphone, the Galaxy Z Flip has a space to fold and open to make the screen full. But in this smartphone, this space is much more invisible, but also resilient and powerful at the same time. Based on Samsung data, this space can be locked and opened up to 200,000 times and not appear to make it much better than the one used in Motorola phones.

#5. Much greater screen versatility

One of the favorite things about the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip is the versatility of the screen. Here the screen can stay half closed and used as a small laptop, or use the screen in two, for two different types of materials. The very versatile screen opening system makes the use even more practical and attractive.
