CES 2020: HP’s Elite Dragonfly to Get 10th Gen Intel Core, Tile Tag, & 5G Modem
HP Elite Dragonfly has just been launched, but the company is already preparing the second-generation laptop. The Elite Dragonfly G2 includes Intel’s 10th-generation Comet Lake vPro processors, but won’t be released before the summer, Neowin reports.
The existing model will have new features and will have eight-core CPUs. The innovation will be support for 5G through the Qualcomm Snapdragon X55 modem. This is especially interesting, given that Intel’s 5G processors were not expected before 2021 (and they should have a Mediatek modem). However, it looks like Qualcomm is ready to implement the solution earlier.
Another novelty brought by the Elite Dragonfly G2 is the integration of Tile. Tile is integrated into your laptop, making it easier to find your device, receive notifications if you leave your PC elsewhere.
Elite Dragonfly will also have Sure View enhancements, while questioning HP‘s screen privacy technology. This will prevent others from looking over the user’s shoulder to see what he is seeing or working on. The new technology is called Sure View Reflect and will work better in different types of lighting.
Tile integration will be available on the Elite Dragonfly G2 from February, with 5G support coming over the summer.
