The first Samsung Galaxy S11 design concepts showcased (VIDEO)

The concepts tell us how the device might look like, but they also reveal that some features may eventually disappear. It still takes a few months for the official launch of the Samsung Galaxy S11.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

There have been numerous rumors about the device’s camera, screen, and even battery capability information in the 5G variant. However, for the first time, concepts have now been revealed about how the device might look like, thanks to some designs published by OnLeaks, over at 91Mobiles.

We see the camera moved away from the center of the device and tucked away, just like in the Google Pixel 4 or iPhone 11. It looks like the headphone port will be removed.

This device may have sized 161.9 x 73.7 x 7.8 mm with a thick body of 8.9 mm. Inside we have to find an Exynos 990 processor or a Snapdragon 865, but we’ll have to wait for confirmation.

Xiaomi patents the 4-camera foldable phone

Since last year, Xiaomi has been developing its own foldable phone, but we don’t know yet when it will be available. Two other patents have recently been filed for such phones, one with dual hinges and three screen sections, and the other with a folding design, such as the Motorola Razr, reports GSMArena.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

A few days ago, a patent was filed on the Chinese Intellectual Property Agency’s website, which features a folding phone with three screen sections and four cameras. Of course, even though the patent has been filed, that does not mean we will necessarily see it in the form of any real product.

The Dealntech site has sketched this phone in the folded position it resembles very much on the Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha with the screen unfolding over the edge and practically covering almost the entire back surface. The cameras on the Mi Mix Alpha are also slightly moved sideways to enable the rear end to be used as a screen.

The part in the patent sketches marked with a curved line is actually the phone hinge mechanism. As with the Huawei Mate X and Galaxy Fold, the screen is expected to be plastic protected. The patent shows little detail about the phone’s hardware itself, so no openings, ports and buttons are visible except for the four circles that symbolize the cameras.

Folding phones are certainly the next big thing in the mobile device industry and it is fun to follow the different interpretations that popular manufacturers have. Xiaomi’s foldable phone is expected in the second quarter of next year.

Redmi K30 to have an 120Hz display

In recent weeks, Xiaomi has provided some details about the upcoming Redmi K30 phone, such as 5G support and punch-hole opening for the two front cameras. Now, thanks to XDA-Developer research, some new details have been found.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

Looking at the MIUI 11 interface, the XDA member nicknamed kacskrz has found references to the device codenamed “phoenix“. The device is suspected to be the Redmi K30, as the MIUI 11 photo shows the phone with a double punch-hole cutout and fingerprint reader on the side.

DA member nicknamed kacskrz has found references to the device codenamed “phoenix”. The device is suspected to be the Redmi K30, as the MIUI 11 photo shows the phone with a double punc-hole cutout and fingerprint reader sideways.

“Phoenix” was also found that it will support 120Hz screen refresh. This isn’t the first time we’re hearing about Xiaomi‘s plans to implement 120Hz screens, but it looks like the Redmi K30 might be the company’s first such phone.

The higher refresh rate enables smoother display and menu scrolling as well as page scrolling, but also a better 120Hz gaming experience. Some Google and OnePlus models support 90Hz, while Asus ROG Phone 2, Sharp Aquos and Razer Phone models support 120Hz refresh.

The first 120Hz model was the Razer Phone, which came with the IPS display, while this year’s Asus ROG Phone 2 was the first OLED display. The fingerprint reader on the side and not inside the screen indicates that Xiaomi will most likely be designated for IPS screen, although it is likely OLED, and that the company has decided to save elsewhere.

The last thing to notice in the code is that “phoenix” has the Sony IMX686 camera sensor. It is believed to be the 60MP or 64MP sensor, which would produce 15MP or 16MP Quad Beyer photos instead of the 12MP current 48MP cameras.

For the official launch of the Redmi K30 we will have to wait until next month, or early 2020, but it sure looks like an interesting phone.

Samsung confirms radical changes to Galaxy S11

The details of Samsung‘s upcoming flagship day by day are all being released confirming radical new changes. The company itself has confirmed the smartphone for the first time.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

Samsung has applied to the Chinese authorities for smartphone registration revealing the exact model number, key functions and charging speed. Samsung confirms that the Galaxy S11 will come with 5G technology, a move that will force all rivals to do the same including Apple.

The second reveal is less positive because the Galaxy S11 will have 25W fast charging technology moving ahead of the Galaxy S10 which is 15W but after the Note 10 with 45W. Samsung is thought to be keeping 45W technologies for the more expensive Galaxy S11 Plus though rivals like OnePlus, Honor and Huawei offer 40W+ charging phones.

But on the other hand, the company is working on a revolutionary new battery technology that will not be available on the Galaxy S11. Samsung will finally bring a new camera codenamed “Hubble” and has extreme zoom power.

Biostar: AMD B550 and Intel 400 series motherboards are ready

Representatives of BIOSTAR announced that they have ready the new motherboard models based on the AMD B550 chipset, which should replace the very popular and affordable “mainstream” B450 models.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

The new chipset is more compatible with the features of the new AMD Ryzen 3000 CPU series due to support for PCIe v4.0 standard for faster data transfer at double the maximum transfer speed compared to PCIe v3.0 used by current B450 models. The new chipset also brings support for both USB 3.2 Gen2 ports and 6x USB 2.0 interface, reports BrainBox Korea.

In addition to support for the AMD processor platform, Biostar also expects innovations from Intel. To meet the upcoming Intel Comet Lake-S processor release for the desktop platform, this manufacturer has prepared new motherboards based on the Intel 400 series of chips. The Intel Z490 targets the high end market, while the B460 and H410 models will be positioned in the middle and bottom price category.

The new Intel chipset will have basic support for standard WiFi 6 high speed wireless network operation, while the entire platform will have 40 PCIe v3.0 communication channels available. From these, 16 are dedicated for direct communication of CPUs and graphics cards, the other four are intended for direct communication of processors and chipsets.

Unfortunately, the CPU and chipset are still connected through the DMI 3.0 interface, which actually represents a major drawback for the Intel platform as it has the width of the 4 PCIe v3.0 bus. This practically means that these 20 additional PCIe v3.0 transport chips available on the chips have limited usable benefits, given the narrow bottleneck described in data sharing with CPU.

Ryzen 9 3950X destroys Intel's competition

Ryzen 9 3950X destroys Intel’s competition

AMD Ryzen 9 3950X was officially launched days ago. The first 16-core processor destined for the “mainstream” platform has shown impressive performance. The current competition in this segment of Intel Core, simply put, has no chance against the uncompromising Zen 2 16-core processor which doubles the number of logic cores.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

Performance differences when compared to the currently strongest Intel Core LGA 1151 in the form of the Core i9-9900K are huge, which will certainly lead to a further drop in the price of Intel chips. And even then, they are less and less attractive to users as 14nm technology is definitely becoming surpassed as well as any further acceleration efforts at 5 GHz due to high power consumption and heat.

This is why the Ryzen 9 3950X looks like a gem of 7nm technology, with which AMD is demonstrating its achievements in the field of CPUs. And not only that, with this model, the company also attacks the HEDT segment of the LGA2066 and Threadripper models, showing how “fragile” the Ryzen 3000 series processor can be. So it will definitely be of interest to professionals on a smaller budget.

Huawei now also has an PCIe SSD and even up to 32TB

Huawei does not only produce mobile phones as most people would think since they mainly associate this company with mobile technologies and network infrastructure. This time, the SSD has an extremely large capacity of 32 TB, writes HKEPC.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

It is a fully functional prototype developed at the company headquarters in Shenzhen. According to the photo shown, it can be concluded that the disk belongs to the Huawei HSSD Series D5223PM6H00 mark – with a capacity of 32 TB and works to PCIe NVMe specifications.

In essence, this model is similar to other SSDs on the market, except that the device housing is slightly upgraded to increase the heat transfer surface that the device releases during operation. After all, all high-performance SSDs release excess heat during operation, including this from Huawei’s 32TB.

Given that Huawei has not yet officially introduced this SSD drive on its official website, we have no further information on the specifications of this interesting device, which offers additional storage capacity.

Another 77 security releases on Intel processors

Intel again warned the public in May that security flaws at the microarchitecture level of their processors enable hackers to evade security mechanisms and illegally access certain data processed by the central processor. Intel then advised users to disable the Hyper Threading feature to avoid attacks, Expreview reports.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

However, releasing security seems to be far more serious than it might have seemed at first glance. Intel has announced the new release – TSX Asynchronous Suspension Vulnerability (TAA). In addition, Intel has also detected an error called “conditional jump instruction (JCC)” and published the software upgrade which manifests itself in the form of performance decline.

Intel’s report says that these releases have affected more processor models than originally expected: Whiskey Lake, Cascade Lake and Coffee Lake Refresh processors with support for Intel TSX technology. Even the newest models were spared from this release.

In explaining the release, Intel stated that the “malware” was able to recognize the value of the data being processed on the physical core. In this way, hackers are able to extract information about other applications, operating systems, system management templates, information about virtual machine administrators, their users, and more.

The processor Skylake Generation is vulnerable to “Decode Icache” error, when instruction due to released data starts to behave unpredictably. Intel reacted immediately and removed the microcode update, but the problem is that its installation degrades the processor performance by 4%.
