The news is shared by the Xiaomi team in the Chinese social network Weibo and the post shows a close eye view of a cat with the number 6400.
The translated text says something like “officially joining the 64 million point era” which will be the largest megapixel we’ve seen on a phone so far.
It should be noted that it is not known how effective it will be, as all 48MP phones that have been tested so far, such as Honor 20 and OnePlus 7 Pro, bring minimal improvements.
Availability still needs to be published, but we’ll probably see some social media posts around the Redmi 64MP smartphone in the coming days.
